Samirah Abdu-Aguye is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacy Practice, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She holds BPharm. & PhD degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and an MClinPharm Degree from the University of Queensland, Australia. Her research interests encompass topics related to pharmacy practice, clinical pharmacy and pharmacy education. In addition to her lecturing responsibilities, she also acts as a resource person for other organizations including Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN), West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists (WAPCP) etc. Her current research is focused on capacity building initiatives for pharmacists and competency-based education.
Samirah has been selected for several capacity development workshops/trainings including those convened by the West African Young Science Academies and the Sterling bank One Woman program. She has also been awarded a fellowship by the African Science Literacy Network (ASLN). Samirah has several peer-reviewed publications in both local and international journals.
