Dr Ocheme Julius Okojokwu is a distinguished Senior Lecturer at the University of Jos, Nigeria with 10 years teaching and research experience. He specializes in Public Health and Sanitary Microbiology. His research portfolio focuses on infectious diseases and sanitation, with the aim of developing effective public health interventions. Dr Okojokwu’s research encompasses the epidemiology of HIV infection, where he has studied the interplay between blood group antigens and infection risks among HIV-positive patients. He has made substantial contributions to parasitology, including the assessment of raw wastewater’s parasitological profile and the application of biosand filters to reduce parasite contamination, demonstrating his commitment to improving sanitation and water quality.
A significant portion of his work is dedicated to the study of Cryptosporidium species, providing valuable insights into its prevalence and molecular characteristics in human and animal hosts.
