Dr. Auwal Abubakar currently serves as the Head of the Department of Medical Radiography, University of Maiduguri, and as Project Manager and Lead Therapy Radiographer at the Cancer Centre, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maiduguri, a Master’s in Imaging in Medicine from the University of Bradford, UK, and a PhD in Radiation Therapy from Universiti Sains Malaysia. His research focuses on improving radiotherapy treatment delivery, developing automated algorithms, and advancing image-guided radiotherapy techniques.
