Dr. Kasimu Mamuda is a medical microbiologist specializing in Mycobacteriology. He has served as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Training Center, Saye Zaria, for over thirteen years. As an early-career researcher, his work focuses on drug-resistant tuberculosis, non-tuberculous mycobacteria, and HIV.
He is highly experienced in drug-resistance TB and HIV diagnostics, including GeneXpert, smear microscopy, TB culture, DST, and LPA. He oversees the Biosafety Level 3 Laboratory that supports the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Programme and has contributed to numerous TB trainings and research initiatives
